When you are diagnosed with cancer, it is important that you receive optimal treatment. Since each tumor is unique in its properties, there is no one size fits all approach to cancer. Genomic profiling provides you and your physician with critical information about your cancer to assist in making the right decision.
Cancer is caused by alterations (mutations) in our genetic information: the DNA. These genetic alterations in turn cause inappropriate growth of the cells and thus lead to proliferation of the cancer cells in the affected tissue.
